Mrs. LaKeda Smith is the Executive Director of YMCA-Benjamin Barnes Branch, a community and volunteer driven, non-profit organization dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Raised in Brent, Alabama, LaKeda attended elementary and high school in the area and participated in community programs throughout the city.

In addition to serving as Executive Director of the BB YMCA, she is an active participant in multiple community service projects and a member of professional organizations throughout the Tuscaloosa Area.
LaKeda is the wife of Anthony L. Smith and the mother of son Chaydon Smith of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
