To achieve this mission, the Mayor’s Alliance coordinates the efforts of its four citizen-led community action Subcommittees. Each Subcommittee focuses on one of the four Key Equity Factors: Education, Economic and Workforce Development, Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization and Youth Sports and Recreation. Each Subcommittee is dedicated to identifying barriers to access and crafting bold—yet practical, solutions to achieve equity, promote advancement and create opportunities for underserved persons, neighborhoods and communities in Tuscaloosa.
