Ronald E. Range is the Dean of the C.A. Fredd Campus of Shelton State Community College, where he also is the Director of Title III (federally funded programs). He serves on the Executive Committee of the National Association of HBCU Title III Administrators and is the Treasurer of the organization. In his role as Campus Dean, he works in cooperation with the President, the Dean of Instruction, the Dean of Students, the Dean of Business Services, the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development, other associate deans, division chairpersons and the faculty to provide leadership and supervision in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of Shelton State Community College, as a whole, including the C.A. Fredd Campus’ instructional units both credit and non-credit. Within the academic division, Range is responsible for the maintenance, improvement, quality and transformation of instruction and instructional support services, for implementing the academic divisions’ instructional plan, and for advising on budget matters concerning the academic division. As Director of Title III, his duties include serving as the primary leader, planner and administrator of the Title III Strengthening Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Program. He also serves as a liaison among College divisions, the U. S. Department of Education, and other agencies as required for project implementation and administration.

Mr. Range is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Stillman College and master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has over twenty-five years of experience in governmental and higher education administration.
