Richard is a life long resident of Tuscaloosa. He is a graduate of Central High School and has a degree in Building Science from Auburn University. Richard is the broker and owner of Druid City Properties where they invest and manage houses, apartments, office buildings and warehouse space. They focus on value add opportunities through out all parts of Tuscaloosa County.

He is a board member for the Tuscaloosa Association of Realtors and the Home Builders Association of Tuscaloosa. Richard is also the Vice President of Facilities for the Black Warrior Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
His wife Jana is a first grade teacher at Rock Quarry Elementary where his daughter Sally is also in the first grade. His son Thomas attends First Presbyterian Church Preschool
