Mark Sullivan recently joined Bryant Bank as Executive Vice President after a 29-year career with The Bank of Tuscaloosa/Synovus.  Sullivan retired from his position as Market Executive for Synovus in March 2020.  He received a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance and earned an executive MBA from The University of Alabama.  He joined The Bank of Tuscaloosa as a vice president and commercial loan officer in 1991.  In 2001, he was named the bank’s president and chief operating officer.  After the founding CEO, Jim Flemming, retired in 2010, he was named chief executive officer.

During his years in Tuscaloosa, Sullivan has devoted himself to supporting the community and has served in leadership roles on many boards of directors, including the DCH Foundation, The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, The United Way of West Alabama, the Industrial Development Authority, the Black Warrior Council of the Boy Scouts, Tuscaloosa City Schools Foundation, Hospice of West Alabama and many more.  In 2015, he was recognized by The Community Foundation of West Alabama as a Pillar of the Community.  His efforts have played a significant role towards the progress of West Alabama.  Sullivan and his wife, Mary Mike, have three daughters.
