Jada Mitchell

Jada Mitchell was born in lower Alabama, in a small town called Fairhope. After high school, she went off to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Jada studied criminal justice. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Health and Psychology. Jada graduated in December of 2017 and by January 2018 she applied with the Tuscaloosa Police Department. After completion of interviews and tests, she was offered a final offer to become a patrol officer. Officer Mitchell has been an officer for approximately two and a half years and truly enjoys it. During these two and a half years, Officer Mitchell has been able to work as a part of the Tuscaloosa Police Department recruiting team. Last year, Officer Mitchell also joined the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force. By the end of this year, she will become one of the SSGT instructors here at Tuscaloosa Police Department. Officer Mitchell has been able to take on several different tasks during her short time here at Tuscaloosa Police Department.
