Isaiah Harper is currently the Broadcasting, Film and Digital Media instructor at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy for the Tuscaloosa City School System.

Isaiah oversees two state-of-the-art studios and an award-winning student produced program called BCN-TV, a call-letter acronym for Paul W Bryant, Central and Northridge High Schools.

Isaiah worked in television journalism 15 years in various roles both behind and in front of the camera.  Prior to teaching, Isaiah was the Bureau Chief for ABC 33/40 Television, overseeing sports and general news coverage for 7 West Alabama counties.  Isaiah’s career also includes positions as Communications Director, public relations and award winning reporter at TV Stations WBRC-Fox 6 Birmingham, Alabama, WNCF-ABC 32 Montgomery, Alabama, WRCB-NBC Channel 3 Chattanooga, Tennessee and WBMG (now WIAT)-CBS 42 Birmingham, Alabama.

Isaiah holds degrees in educational training plus certifications from the State of Alabama and Jefferson State Community College (A.A. Speech/Political Science), University of Alabama- Birmingham (B.A. Broadcasting/Communication Theory), Athens State University (Education) & Stephen F. Austin University (M.A. Mass Communication) 

Isaiah’s passion for communication and the TV business drives his second passion – the opportunity to teach young people all about power of the voice and the career he has come to love.
