Alexis Wilson is the Head Start/Early Head Start Director for Community Service Programs of West Alabama, Inc., an Early Childhood Education program that serves children younger than five years of age and focuses on school readiness.
She has been a resident of Tuscaloosa for eight years. She is a native of New Orleans, LA, but has made Tuscaloosa, AL her home.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Jackson State University and master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi College. She has 10+ years of experience working in the field of education in various capacities.
Alexis is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families. Her goal is to support families in becoming self-sufficient. Every child has a seed that when nurtured becomes a radiant rose or a tenacious tree.
