Establishing a mentor program to pair all city school system students with a mentor who would maintain a relationship with the child through high school. 

  • Creating a gun safety program to familiarize elementary-age children with the dangers of firearms, similar to drug education programs.  
  • Supporting the placement of social workers assigned to each City school.
  • Advocating for programs, possibly a city Department of Youth Services, renewed efforts to renew the STARS Academy in the city school system.
  • Supporting city reinvestment to transform The Gateway into a destination for kids to experiment with tech-related interests, including coding, video creation and more in a fun environment.
